Board of Directors & Committees

Responsible for the overall governance of the Association, CHBA VI’s Board of Directors are comprised of volunteer leaders from the across the island. The Board meets once a month to set key policies and directions in accordance with the  strategic plan. CHBA-VI Committees:

Membership Committee:

The Membership Committee serves the needs of all CHBA Vancouver Island members.  It develops strategies to welcome and retain members, to help members utilize the many benefits of CHBA Vancouver Island, and to work with staff to promote members to the public and to recruit new members.

Time involvement:  35 hours per year that includes committee meetings (quarterly) and association events (4 regular dinner meetings, AGM, Building Industry Forum, Holiday Auction, Annual Golf Tournament, home shows, seminars).

Member: Any member of the CHBA Vancouver Island that is in good standing is permitted to be a member of Membership Committee.  There is no appointment processes – the Committee encourages anyone interested in the Council to get involved (contact Kerriann for more information).

Builders’ Council

Chair: Ron Bickford, Rob-Ron Developments Ltd.

The CHBA-VI Builders’ Council meets approximately once a month, usually prior to the General Members Dinner Meeting. All Builder, Renovator and Developer Members are invited to attend Builders’ Council Meetings.

Purpose:
  1. Information Sharing – CHBA-VI Builders and Developers discuss issues, share information and ideas. Take the issues to the CHBA-VI Board for action as necessary.
  2. Business Opportunities – sharing sub trades and building business synergies
